What Is AMFI? India's Mutual Fund Industry Body
AMFI stands for the Association of Mutual Funds in India. It is the industry body that represents the country's asset management companies and works with SEBI to set industry standards and promote investor awareness.
Why AMFI matters for data
AMFI standardises how mutual-fund information is published. Every scheme has a unique AMFI scheme code, and AMFI publishes a single daily NAV file covering every scheme across all fund houses. That standardisation is what makes clean, comparable fund data possible.
The NAVAll feed
AMFI's daily NAV file (often called NAVAll) lists the latest net asset value for every scheme and plan — direct and regular, growth and dividend options. BharatStock ingests this to serve a scheme's daily NAV history and returns through the API, keyed by the AMFI scheme code.
